Rupert Lane has become global commercial director of Brands at Work, where he will lead the agency’s international growth.
Lane will lead the company’s account teams based in London and New York, to make sure of “continued service excellence, business retention and ongoing development”.

Lane said: “I’m thrilled to be joining such an exciting and dynamic business within the events industry at this time. I bring a wealth of experience to the role, garnered from my previous position of group commercial director for one of Europe’s leading content marketing agencies and prior to that within a senior commercial role at the FT.
Lane said that live events are “arguably the most powerful” part of the marketing mix because they evoke so much emotion and create deeper engagement, adding: “With the marketing landscape becoming increasingly joined up – we have a tremendous opportunity to help our clients leverage the most effective channels to engage their audiences.
