In the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division III men’s basketball tournament on Saturday, sophomore forward Heath Post contributed heavily to Springfield College (Massachusetts) earning a 74-62 win at Swarthmore College (Pennsylvania). A 2016 Cheshire High School graduate, Post tallied a team-best 15 rebounds and added 18 points to help the Pride (22-8) rally from a 40-33 halftime deficit.
With the win, Springfield has earned the program’s first Final Four berth. On Friday, March 16, at the Salem (Virginia) Civic Center, the Pride will meet Nebraska Wesleyan University (28-3) in semifinal action. Start time has yet to be announced.
Post has compiled 380 points, 278 rebounds, 65 assists, 43 blocks (team best), and 21 steals under Head Coach Charlie Brock.
