MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Vicente Conde hit a two-run homer in the third inning, leading the Trenton Thunder to a 10-6 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Saturday.
The home run by Conde scored Chace Numata to give the Thunder a 2-1 lead.
The Thunder later added seven runs in the fourth and one in the sixth. In the fourth, Jhalan Jackson hit a two-run home run, while Chris Gittens scored on a ground out in the sixth.
New Hampshire missed a scoring opportunity in the sixth, when Cavan Biggio flew out with the bases loaded to end the inning.
Stephen Tarpley (2-0) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while New Hampshire starter Jon Harris (1-1) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
For the Fisher Cats, Vladimir Guerrero doubled and singled twice, driving in two runs.
