A Sunday morning fire destroyed an athletic club in Massachusetts that has been around for more than 60 years.
Firefighters in Fairhaven were called to the Thomas Livesey Memorial Club on Hopkins Street just before 4 a.m. Sunday after receiving 911 calls about a fire.
The building was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. The Fairhaven Fire Department said the building was destroyed.
NECN reports no one was inside the building, which has been around for more than 60 years.
Police and firefighters in Fairhaven along with the state Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
