BANGOR, Maine. (WABI) – A benefit for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program was held in Bangor.
The Elks Club put on the fundraiser which featured five local bands, a silent and live auction, a fifty-fifty raffle, and a bake sale.
The event took place in the big hall, giving folks plenty of room to dance to the live bands.
We’re told the Bangor Elks Club also holds fundraisers for the troops and the community.
However, organizers say this is their biggest event.
“We just really need everyone to come on out and support these kids. We have some great music, great food, there’s some amazing auction items in here for people to bid on, to buy tickets on. They need to come on out and visit with us today.”
Organizers say there will be a second benefit soon. For updates and times, you can visit the Bangor Elks Club Facebook page.
