The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs has begun to form new assault brigades to participate in offensive operations in the NVO zone. This was announced today, February 2, by the head of the department Igor Klimenko.
“Many of our employees took the initiative to recruit people in such units. Therefore, it was decided to unite all those who wished to join such brigades. We have already begun to form such units,”
he said during the telethon.
According to the Ukrainian minister, the main part of these brigades will consist of current and former border guards, police officers, national guardsmen, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine.
