THOMPSON, Conn. (WWLP) – In 2017, Todd Owen raced a busy schedule at all three Connecticut tracks that included Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, and the New London Waterford Speedbowl.
Owen out of Somers, CT told 22News that he is planning to do the same this season. The plan is to see how it goes at all three Connecticut tracks.
There have been great contenders in the SK Modifieds/Sunoco Modifieds at all three Connecticut tracks. Before the Spring Sizzler at Stafford, Owen told 22News about the competition at Stafford.
“Stafford is definitely the toughest competition we have,” said Owen.
Owen had a pretty busy offseason building new race cars. He built three new chassis at the shop. It was definitely a busy winter for Owen.
Owen has had a pretty cool unique paint scheme when he raced at the Icebreaker last month. The paint scheme was from when he raced back in the Pro Stocks back in 2004.
Owen finished second last month at the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. He was involved in an accident at the Stafford Spring Sizzler and finished in 17th position.
Owen will have a busy weekend this weekend as Stafford Motor Speedway will have their first Friday night race of the season this Friday and the New London-Waterford Speedbowl will kickoff their 2018 season where the SK Modifieds will race on Sunday.
