Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez on Tuesday called on the world to reject the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States and its allies against Venezuela.

“The world must raise its voice against this barbarism and give way to a new global order based on respect, complementarity and solidarity,” the minister wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“The unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela, wrongly called ‘sanctions,’ are an expression of interference, arrogance and imperial supremacy to violate the fundamental rights of the peoples, giving rise to the plundering of resources and assets owned by the Venezuelan people,” said Padrino Lopez.

On his account, he also posted a video of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro demanding the lifting of the unilateral coercive measures.
